Through its community outreach initiatives, The Martin Luther King Jr Celebration Committee prepare “Homeless Backpacks” to distribute to homeless individuals in the Brazosport Area and surrounding communities. The 50 backpacks prepared contained a blanket, socks, personal hygiene items, water bottle, water, a snack package and a gift card to purchase a meal from a local fast food establishment.
