(ZTCDC) – has four areas of focus education, economic development, community development, and social services. The Helping Hands Program aim is to provide support and assistance for people who are having hard times or may be disadvantaged. WEST COLUMBIA – One of our MLKCC Community Grant recipients, Communities in Schools (CIS), recently sponsored a mentoring event at West Columbia Elementary.  The Columbia High School “Stand By Peace” CIS mentors worked with their younger peers to create posters and develop activities focusing on drug-free living.
