The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee once again sieged the opportunity to promote positive black images and support black professionals in the film industry. On November 5, 2022, MLKCC hosted a private showing of the movie Till at the Brazos Mall AMC theater. Tlll reframed a true story of a historically horrific murder and the pursuit of justice within a mother’s grief. There were approximately 137 people in attendance.
